In Acts 8:36, it is written,

Let us notice that it calls the baptismal water that Philip and the eunuch came unto, a certain water.

Let us ask, what kind of water is that? Why is it called “a certain water”?

Let us look now at this word “certain” that is used here in Acts 8:36. For we shall see that it is a very, very important word used here. In fact, it is amazing!

At this time we wish to bring forth what we know, to be the great mystery of this word “certain” that is used here in Acts 8:36.

And we wish to do this in order to help describe the true HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL baptismal water that Philip and the eunuch went into.

For we want to point out that just as all the other scriptures about our Lord’s heavenly water baptism that are found on this web site, confirm that THE HEAVENLY CHRISTIANS have the true understanding of our Lord’s heavenly water baptism, so Acts 8:36 confirms this also.

This word “certain”, used in Acts 8:36, confirms the TRUE HEAVENLY WATER BAPTISM OF OUR LORD, THAT WE HEAVENLY CHRISTIANS HAVE ENTERED, AND BROUGHT FORTH THROUGH MUCH TEACHING ON THIS WEB SITE.

Let us begin looking at this word, “certain” that is used here in Acts 8:36.

As for this word “certain”, that is found in Acts 8:36, we see in Strong’s Concordance that the name pronunciation of this word “certain” that is found in Acts 8:36, is made up of three Greek letters, “TIS”, which in the Greek alphabet, show up to be, (T) =Tau, (I)=Iota, (S)=Sigma.

TAU

As for “Tau”. Not only is Tau found in the Greek alphabet, but it is also the last letter found in the Hebrew alphabet.

As we know, the Hebrews elaborated a theology of spiritual interpretation proper to each letter of their alphabet.

Because the Hebrew scriptures, and therefore the Hebrew alphabet was not formally codified, until almost two hundred years after the birth of Christ, many letters were sometimes shaped in a variety of forms depending on the regions where Jews were living, either in Israel or in the diameters somewhere outside of Israel: usually in the Greek speaking world.

“Tau”, could be written in these various shapes: /\, or X, or +, or T.

The early authoritative Christian writers commenting on the Bible for the most part used the Greek version of the Bible, called the "Septuagint Bible".

In this Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures (which Christians call: the Old Testament) the Tau was written as a T, or an X, and sometimes +.

As we know, for Christians, the T, or X, or +, came to represent the cross of Christ as being the fulfillment of the Old Testament promises.

The cross, as prefigured in the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet, represented the means by which Christ reversed the disobedience of the old Adam, and became our Saviour as the "New Adam".

And as for all of us who are His heavenly Christians, we know that the doctrine of His cross is foolishness to them that perish, but for us who have entered our Lord’s Holy Water baptism by entering His death on His cross (Romans 6:3-4), the doctrine of our Lord’s cross is the very power of God, in which doctrine of our Lord’s heavenly Spiritual wisdom, we know by His faith (see Habakkuk 2:4 Septuagint Bible), that the fulfillment of the entire revealed Word of God is only to be found now in this doctrine of His cross (1 Cor.1:18).

Let us continue now looking at this word “Tau”.

As we know, evidence shows, that through time there has been some scripture in the Bible, that has been altered in one way or another.

And sometimes words were taken out of the scriptures, or replaced with other words that do not have the same meaning at all.

And sometimes even whole verses of scripture have been taken out (we see this in some of the so-called modern translations of the Bible today).

For example, the prominent early Christian teacher Tertullian, quotes Ezekiel 9:4 this way:

Also, we see that it is written in the Douay-Rheims Bible,

"And the Lord said to him: Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem: and mark Thau upon the foreheads of the men that sigh, and mourn for all the abominations that are committed in the midst thereof." Ezekiel 9:4 Douay-Rheims Bible

And in the John Wycliffe middle English A.D.1382 Bible (the first English Bible), we see that it is written,

And in Jerome's Latin Vulgate A.D. 405 Bible, we see that it is written,

"et dixit Dominus ad eum transi per mediam civitatem in medio Hierusalem et signa thau super frontes virorum gementium et dolentium super cunctis abominationibus quae fiunt in medio eius" Jerome's Latin Vulgate A.D. 405 Bible

 Let us look at Ezekiel 9:1-6, to get a better understanding of Ezekiel 9:4. For it is written,

“He cried also in mine ears with a loud voice, saying, Cause them that have charge over the city to draw near, even every man with his destroying weapon in his hand. And, behold, six men came from the way of the higher gate, which lieth toward the north, and every man a slaughter weapon in his hand; and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn by his side: and they went in, and stood beside the brasen altar. And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the cherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer's inkhorn by his side; And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.” Ezek. 9:1-6

And Tertullian verifies this. For right before Tertullian gives this example of Ezekiel 9:4, the prominent early Christian teacher Tertullian writes,

“Premising, therefore, and likewise subjoining the fact that Christ suffered, He (Christ) foretold that His just ones should suffer equally with Him-both the apostles and all the faithful in succession; and He (Christ) signed them with that very seal of which Ezekiel spake:” Tertullian

Let us now look at the word “mark” that is used here in Ezekiel 9:4. As for this word “mark” being used here; we see from Strong’s Concordance, that by implication, it means=“signature”.

Now a =“signature”, as we know, IS THE NAME OF A PERSON.

Now this is very, very important. Because we see in scripture, that to be BAPTIZED INTO THE LORD’S BAPTISM, IS TO BE BAPTIZED INTO HIS NAME.

For our Lord said,

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them IN (or into) THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST:” Matt.28:19

And to be water baptized INTO HIS NAME, IS TO BE SEALED FROM THE WRATH OF GOD.

For as for this vision in Ezekiel 9:4, we find the same visionary material in Revelation 7:2-4, 9:4, 14:1, where the mark on the forehead again protects the faithful few in the day of wrath, and it is said to be the name of the Lamb and of His Father. For it is written,

And again,

And again,

“And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, and they had His name and the name of His Father written in their foreheads.” Rev.14:1 (Rotherham Bible, and also, the original Greek new testament text).

From these scriptures we see that TO BE SEALED IN THE WATER BAPTISM OF OUR LORD, IS TO HAVE HIS NAME WRITTEN ON US.

In Song of Solomon 4:12-16, it is showing us that THE SPOUSE OF CHRIST, THE CHURCH, IS A GARDEN ENCLOSED, AND THAT WITHIN THIS ENCLOSED GARDEN, IS THE SPRING, THE FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS.

A Church that is enclosed, and living water within it that is sealed up, cannot be open to strangers and profane persons.

The Church, and the well of living water, if it is one and the same within, then he who is placed without cannot be quickened and sanctified from that water of which it is only granted to those who are within to make any use, or to drink.

So we see, that scripture is showing that all those who are in earthly ceremonial Christianity, or the so-called: end - timers groups, or sonship groups, or restitution of all things groups, in fact, any so-called Christian group today, if they are saying that in Acts 8:36, Philip and the eunuch went into natural H₂O earthly water, in order to baptize the eunuch with the one living water baptism that is found in the one Church of our Lord, THEN THEY are not understanding the CERTAIN baptismal water THAT IS spoken about in Acts 8:36.

It also shows us, that if they are saying that in Acts 8:36, Philip and the eunuch went into natural H₂O earthly water, in order to baptize the eunuch, then THEY ARE DENYING THE “CERTAIN WATER” THAT Philip and the eunuch REALLY WENT INTO AS SHOWN BY THE SCRIPTURES ABOVE!!!

And it shows us that all who are in ceremonial Christianity, or the so-called: end - timers groups, or sonship groups, or restitution of all things groups, in fact, any so-called Christian group today, if they are saying that in Acts 8:36, Philip and the eunuch went into natural H₂O earthly water, in order to baptize the eunuch, THEN BY ALL MEANS, THEY SHOULD NOW REPENT, and come to the TRUE “CERTAIN” BAPTISMAL LIVING WATER THAT IS FOUND IN GOD’S PARADISIACAL GARDEN.

FOR THAT IS THE WATER THAT PHILIP AND THE EUNUCH WENT INTO IN ORDER TO BAPTIZE THE EUNUCH INTO THE NAME OF THE LORD, AS WE SHALL SEE IN THIS TREATISE. LET US CONTINUE WITH THIS TREATISE NOW.

As stated earlier, as for this word “certain”, that is found in Acts 8:36, we see in Strong’s Concordance, that the name pronunciation of this word “certain” that is found in Acts 8:36, is made up of three Greek letters, “TIS”, which in the Greek alphabet, show up to be, (T) =Tau, (I)=Iota, (S)=Sigma.

Let us look at the (I)=Iota.

As we know, the name Jesus begins with (I)=Iota.

And the Greek letter “Iota”, corresponds to the Hebrew letter “Yod”.

Now the Greek Gematria for Iota, and the Hebrew Gematria for Yod, is the number Ten. And this is very important because this all has to do with THE COVENANT, THE LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.

FOR THE COVENANT, THE LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, BEAR HIS NAME.

Because as we know, they (the ten commandments), were called by the ancient Hebrews, “The Ten Words”, and The Lord Jesus Christ is "The Word", His name is "The Word", as it is written in Rev.19:13,

The Word being used here in Rev.19:13, means=“Logos".

And the Ten Commandments, THE LAW, THE COVENANT, is called, "The Decalogue". Gr. Deka="Ten", Logue= "Logos".

And as we know, "Logos" is The Lord's name, for our Lord is called “THE WORD”, in John 1:1, which means, Logue= "Logos". So we see that the ten commandments DO INDEED bear His name.

For He is THE COVENANT, THE LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, OF GOD THE FATHER.

For The Father, said that He would give Him (i.e. give His Word, His Son), as the Covenant unto the people as it is written,

So, if THE COVENANT, THE LAW, THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, bear His name, and Philip baptized the eunuch in HIS NAME, BY BAPTIZING THE EUNUCH IN THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL LIVING WATER OF ETERNAL LIFE, THEN THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL LIVING COVENANT, LAW, TEN COMMANDMENTS OF ETERNAL LIFE, MUST BE SHOWN AS COMING FORTH AS “LIVING WATER”, THAT ONE GETS BAPTIZED (WASHED) IN.

But returning to Acts chapter 8, lets look at what Phillip and the eunuch did. for we see that in Acts 8:38 it is written,

"And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him." Acts 8:38

Now we know that Phillip was leading the eunuch to Christ  (see ~Acts 8:35~). And we know in Isaiah, Christ is shown to be the law, the covenant of light that the people were to go into, as it is written,

 "Who is a God like thee, canceling iniquities, and passing over the sins of the remnant of his inheritance? and he has not kept his anger for a testimony, for he delights in mercy. He will return and have mercy upon us; he will sink our iniquities, and they shall be cast into the depth of the sea, even all our sins. He shall give blessings truly to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as thou swarest to our fathers, according to the former days." Micah 7:18-19 Septuagint Bible

THIS IS THE WATER OF LIFE, FOUND IN MOSES, (the FORMER rain), AND THE PROPHETS (THE LATTER RAIN).

This is how our HOLY LORD’S BAPTISMAL WATER OF LIFE COMES TO US. And it is only found IN OUR LORD AND HIS HEAVENLY BODY!!!

Here we see that THE BAPTISMAL WATER OF LIFE ONLY COMES FORTH FROM THE HOUSE, THE BODY OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.

As for this BAPTISMAL WATER. It is THE HEAVENLY WISDOM DOCTRINAL RIVER of God's LIVING BLOOD AND WATER.

This is THE CRYSTAL SEA that comes out of the Lamb, THE PROPHET WORD OF GOD, in order to wash away the sins of all who would enter it now.

And so it is written,

"And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before (before = in the face of ~2 Cor.4:6~) the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God (~Isa.11:2~). And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind." Rev.4:5-6

And again,

"And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. "Rev.22:1

And again,

"I also came out as a brook from a river, and as a conduit into a garden. I said, I will water my best garden, and will water abundantly my garden bed: and, lo, my brook became a river, and my river became a sea. I will yet make doctrine to shine as the morning, and will send forth her light afar off. I will yet pour out doctrine as prophecy, and leave it to all ages for ever." Ecclesiasticus 24:30-33

What do we say to all this?

Let us hear the prominent early Christian teacher Ambrose A.D. 340-397, for he states ever so rightly,

"The Divine Scripture is a sea, containing in it deep meanings, and an abyss of prophetic mysteries; and into this sea enter many rivers. There are Sweet and transparent streams, cool fountains too there are, springing up into life eternal, and pleasant words as an honey-comb." Ambrose

And again,

"Gather the water of Christ (Note! Christ is God the Word, the prophetic Word of God the Spirit ~John 1:1-14~. Therefore, it is THE WATER OF THE WORD ~Eph.5:26~, ~John 15:3~), that which praises the Lord. Gather from many sources that water which the prophetic clouds pour forth. He that gathers water from the hills and draws it to himself from the fountains, he also drops down dew like the clouds. Fill then the bosom of your mind, that your ground may be moistened and watered by domestic springs. He who needs and apprehends much is filled, he who hath been filled waters others, and therefore Scripture saith; If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth." Ambrose

And again,

"The 'cause' then we have in the operation of God, who waters our minds with the dew of wisdom;" Ambrose

Oh soul! We must realize that Philip and the eunuch were in the book of Isaiah, which is FILLED WITH THE DIVINE SEA, THE LIVING BAPTISMAL WATER OF GOD.

Let us look at one of the great early Church teachers, and what he has to say (in a debate with a carnal Jew), about THE LIVING SPIRITUAL BAPTISMAL WATER FOUND IN THE BOOK OF ISAIAH.

JUSTIN MARTYR A.D. 110-165

But let us notice, that JUSTIN MARTYR IN SPEAKING OF OUR LORD'S HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL BAPTISMAL WATER TO THE CARNAL JEW, POINTS OUT TO US THAT this is exactly where Philip and the eunuch were reading in scripture WHEN THEY CAME TO THIS HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL BAPTISMAL WATER.

This is exactly where Philip and the eunuch were, when the eunuch said: "BEHOLD WATER" (Greek text).

So, what water did Philip and the eunuch come to in scripture? What water did they go down into BY FAITH ( Heb.11:1)?

Oh soul, we must understand that THIS IS THE BAPTISMAL LIVING  WATER THAT PHILIP AND THE EUNUCH WENT INTO.

They DID NOT go into literal early water, THEY WENT INTO THE SPIRITUAL LIVING WATER OF CHRIST, THE LOGOS OF GOD.

For lets look further at what Holy Justin Martyr says to the carnal Jew,

"By reason, therefore, of this laver of repentance and knowledge of God, which has been ordained on account of the transgression of God's people, as Isaiah cries, we have believed, and testify that that very baptism which he announced is alone able to purify those who have repented; and this is the water of life. But the cisterns which you have dug for yourselves are broken and profitless to you. For what is the use of that baptism which cleanses the flesh and body alone? Baptize the soul from wrath and from covetousness, from envy, and from hatred; and, lo! the body is pure. For this is the symbolic significance of unleavened bread, that you do not commit the old deeds of wicked leaven. But you have understood all things in a carnal sense, and you suppose it to be piety if you do such things, while your souls are filled with deceit, and, in short, with every wickedness." Justin Martyr

So, what water was Isaiah speaking about? What water did Philip and the eunuch come to in scripture, and which HAD TO BE ENTERED BY FAITH ( Heb.11:1), and which alone was able to give the knowledge of God?

IT WAS THE SPIRITUAL LIVING WATER OF LIFE, WHICH AS WE KNOW IS ONLY FOUND IN CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH.

Therefore, "repent oh carnal soul of your earthly carnal literal water baptism".

For there has been a great falling away from the true knowledge of God's baptismal water, and as we can see, the false so-called Christian preachers today, when they preach that Philip and the eunuch when into natural literal earthly water, are NOT UNDERSTANDING the gospel. They are not understanding the living baptismal water that ALL the apostles spoke about.

So come now oh soul, learn about it, and BY HAVING FAITH IN IT, enter the TRUE LIVING WATER BAPTISM OF CHRIST AND HIS CHURCH, and you will become heavenly in the knowledge of God.

For again, Justin Martyr says,

"The spring of living water which gushed forth from God in the land destitute of the knowledge of God, namely the land of the Gentiles, was this Christ"

ACTS 8:36

Let us look again at Acts 8:36, but let us look at the interlinear Greek-English verse this time. For we see that it is written,

"And as they were going along THE WAY..."Acts 8:36

Let us ask; what WAY? WHAT WAY, were they going along in scripture together?

Was it THE WAY that leads towards God's heavenly Spiritual commandments (covenant)?

Was it THE WAY that leads to THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, that is only found in THE WAVES OF THIS SEA?

YES!!!

And so it is written,

“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, (see John 6:63) which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:” Isa.48:17-18

This is the water of the law, THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL LIVING COVENANT.

So, to recapitulate;

(1): THE NEW SONG; is THE GOSPEL, with its IMMORTAL SPIRITUAL LAWS as it is written,

"And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire (our Lord's baptismal water that is fused with the Holy Spirit ~John 3:5~): and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God. And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest." Rev.15:2-3

(2): the sea; is OUR LORD'S BAPTISMAL WATER, in which "THE WAY" i.e., THE GOSPEL, is found, as it is written,

"Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;" Isa.43:16

And again,

"Thy way (way used here, means=conversation ~1Pet.1:15~) in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known."Ps.77:19

(3): the isles; are THE GENTILES, who by entering THIS SEA, THIS ONE BAPTISM OF OUR LORD (~Eph.4:5~), were to receive THE GOSPEL WITH ITS IMMORTAL LAWS, as it is written,

"He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law." Isa.42:4

And again,

"That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment (Divine law) to the Gentiles. He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets. A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust (see Septuagint Bible ~Isa.42:1-4~). " Matt.12:17-21

Now we should take time to look at this living covenant.

But before we look at this, HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL LIVING COVENANT, let us go back for a moment to the very important Hebrew letter “Yod”, that we mentioned earlier, and mentioned how it corresponds to the Greek letter “Iota”.

For this Hebrew word “Yod” (which corresponds to the Greek letter “Iota”, which is the first letter of our Lord’s name: Jesus), means, “arm, or hand”, and the Hebrews say that it represents, “sun-light-Father”.

That being the case then. All these things: arm-hand-sun-light-Father, also might be found in Isaiah, showing forth THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL LIVING WATER OF ETERNAL LIFE, THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL LIVING COVENANT, LAW, TEN COMMANDMENTS OF ETERNAL LIFE.

And indeed, we see that all these things ARE FOUND IN ISAIAH, AND HAVE TO DO WITH HIS WATER BAPTISM INTO HIS NAME in one way or another.

The examples are too numerous to mention in this treatise. But to prove this point, let us look at the word, “ARM”.

For we see that it is written in Isaiah 53:1-5 (the very same chapter that Philip and the eunuch were in),

We who are Christians, do know that Isa.53:1-5, is speaking about our Holy Lord Jesus Christ, and His sufferings and HIS BAPTISM ON HIS CROSS, which is to be our baptism.

For it says: “… the chastisement of our peace was upon him…”.

And again the scriptures read; “…I am crucified with Christ…” Gal.2:20

Or, as the A.D. 1382 John Wycliffe Bible would have it,

SIGMA

The name: Jesus, begins with (I) =iota, and ends with (S)=sigma. The name: Christ, begins with Chi = (X, the symbol of the cross), and ends with (S)=sigma.

As for these living waters THAT HIS NAME IS FOUND IN, they were there at the beginning (see Gen.1:2-3), and they will be there at the end (see Rev.22:17.

In Isaiah, the eunuch found the healing baptismal fountain of THE WATER OF THE WORD OF GOD‘S CROSS (see Eph.5:26, 1 Cor. 1:18).

And so, when this great eunuch from Ethiopia, stretched out his hands BY FAITH (see Acts 8:37, Heb.11:1), and joined himself to the one baptism of Christ and His Church, and went back to Ethiopia to tell all in Ethiopia about this one baptism, then that which was prophesied about Ethiopia long before, was fulfilled, as it is written,
