ENOCH THE SCRIBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (2)

"And to certain men of a generation, shall the path of violence and of death be revealed, and they shall hold themselves afar from them, and shall not follow them."
The Book of Enoch 94:2

Indeed, we who are of the generation of His faith (i.e., we who are of the generation of His Spiritual law of faith, Rom. 3:27), have kept ourselves far from the paths of the death of the carnal froward minded leaders of the people. Who with their carnal froward understanding have tried to enter God's heavenly Spiritual law. Not understanding that they cannot possible know it with their carnal dead mind, but only come to Spiritually fight against it ( Rom.8:6-7).

For they have not understood that the law of the lord, is wisdom above. And only by this heavenly Spiritual wisdom law, can anyone depart from their natural carnal mind, which is death. As it is written,

"The law of the wise (the word 'wise' used here means =wisdom), is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death."
Proverbs 13:14

So what do we say of the carnal minded leaders of the people? Enoch told us what they would do. As it is written,

"...For know that sinners will tempt men to evilly-entreat wisdom, so that no place may be found for her, and no manner of temptation may minish."

In part one of Apocalypse of Enoch the question was asked,

“And how do they take His name in vain”?

In Exodus 20:7, it is written,

“Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”

THE SPIRITUAL TEN COMMANDMENTS

Here we see that in the ten commandments, it is commanded by God to all of us; ( for all of us are to obey His ten commandments,) that we are not to take His name in vain.

Since we see that this commandment is part of the ten commandments that we are commanded to keep and do, we see that if we say that we are performing (keeping ) these ten commandments, but in truth, (i.e. Spiritually, in the Holy Spirit of truth, John 16:13) we are NOT PERFORMING these ten commandments, or any part of them, then we are taking His name in vain (i.e., taking it falsely).

For the ten commandments bear His name. Because they (i.e., the ten commandments), were called by the ancient Hebrews, “The Ten Words”, and Jesus Christ is "The Word", His name is "The Word" ( Rev. 19:13),"Word" used here in Rev.19:13, means="Logos", "The Son of God". And the Ten Commandments are called,="Decalogue". Gr. Deka="Ten", Logue= "Logos".

And He is the Covenant of God, for God said that He would give Him (i.e. His Word, His Logos, His Son) as the Covenant unto the people as it is written,

“I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;"
Isaiah 42:6

Here we see THAT Jesus is THE NEW COVENANT OF LIGHT, THE NEW COVENANT OF LIFE, THE NEW COVENANT OF God's RIGHTEOUSNESS. And this new Covenant of life, i.e., THE DIVINE HOLY HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL SCRIPTURE, IS the flesh of Christ. And unless we are willing to eat this flesh, i.e., to partake of this new HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL covenant, we will have no life in us, as it is written,

"Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, ye have no life in you."
John 6:53

This new Covenant, is the wisdom that is from above, that is to be our Spiritual understanding of the heavenly Spiritual ten commandments (see Deuteronomy 4:5-13).

And so we see from these scriptures that we must learn and keep the ten commandments. Also, we know that if one is guilty of not keeping just one part of the ten commandments, he is guilty of breaking all of it (see James 2:10-12).

Now, wicked sinners might say, Oh no, oh no, we who are in the New Testament do not keep the ten commandments, but keep His grace only.

Three things are to be understood from such a person who makes a statement like this.

First: Such a person does not understand the heavenly Spiritual grace.

Second: Such a person does not understand the heavenly Spiritual ten commandments.

Third: Such a person does not understand the new heavenly Spiritual testament, nor the teachers of it.

For the Christian teachers of the new heavenly Spiritual testament taught the Church, saying to them that the ten commandments are to be kept. And they are to be kept in order to receive the promise of eternal life in God's new earth as it is written,

“Children, obey your parents in The Lord: for this is right. Honour thy Father and Mother; (Father=Christ Isa.9:6, Mother= The Church of wisdom above Gal.4:26) which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”
Ephesians 6:1-3

Here we see that the heavenly ten commandments (for the apostle Paul in the epistle to the Ephesians, is speaking to a heavenly race of mankind-- see Ephesians 2:6), are indeed to be observed by the Christian people of God, so that they might receive the grace of eternal life in God's heavenly kingdom land.

But, let us go back now to the keeping of the ten commandments. As we saw earlier in this treatise, if we say that we are observing them, and that we are bringing them forth in our religious walk, but in truth we are not observing them, nor bringing them forth in our religious walk. Then we are taking His name in vain.

WHAT THE UNLAWFUL DO

And this is what the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), are doing throughout the whole world today.

For example, the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), are saying that they are observing the Sabbath Day of God. Throughout the whole world the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), proclaim that they are keeping the Sabbath Day of God. They even have fights and divisions among themselves as to which day of the week is the true Sabbath Day of God.

But they in their carnal earthly understanding of The Holy Spiritual Sabbath Day of God, do not understand that they could not possibly keep one Day of God in their mortal bodies here on earth. For one Day with God is as a thousand years, as it is written,

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.“
2 Peter 3:8

But the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), do not understand the eternal commandment that was given.

THE REMEMBRANCE

For the commandment states,

“Remember the Sabbath Day, to keep it Holy.”
Exodus 20:8

Here we see that it is commanded to “remember” this commandment. The heavenly gospel teaches us that nothing (i.e. That no commandment given by the Word of Jesus) can come into our remembrance except by the Holy Spirit of Truth, as it is written,

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John 14:26

Here we see that it is the Holy Spirit that will teach us and will cause us to have the commandments of The Word of God, in our minds (remembrance) so that we might Spiritually understand the Commandments.

Let us ask, how does the Holy Spirit teach us the ten commandments? In 1 Corinthians 2:13, we see that it is by comparing spiritual things with spiritual. Let us ask, what are these spiritual things that are to be compared with spiritual? If we look at 1 Corinthians 2:9-13, we will see that the spiritual things are the commandments of Jesus. Even the commandments which eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have they entered into the heart of the natural man (see 1 Cor.2:9, Deut. 29:4).

AUTHORITATIVE CHRISTIAN TEACHERS

But let us look now to see what the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ (speaking through the true early Christian teachers in the scripture that Moses gave), says the Sabbath Day of rest truly is. For the early Christian teachers tell just what THE SABBATH DAY OF REST truly is.

Let us all look very carefully, at what these authoritative Christian teachers say here.

Tertullian

First, the early (A.D. 145-220) Christian teacher Tertullian, when admonishing the Jews for thinking that their natural Sabbath day (which was IMPOSED on them because they made the idol calf in the desert, see Hebrews 9:10), was the eternal one that God gave through Moses in scripture, said unto the carnal Jews long ago that thought this way,

"In fine, let him who contends that the Sabbath is still to be observed as a balm of salvation, and circumcision on the eighth day because of the threat of death, teach us that, for the time past, righteous men kept the Sabbath, or practiced circumcision, and were thus rendered 'friends of God.'

For if circumcision purges a man since God made Adam uncircumcised, why did He not circumcise him, even after his sinning, if circumcision purges? At all events, in settling him in paradise, He appointed one uncircumcised as colonist of paradise. Therefore, since God originated Adam uncircumcised, and inobservant of the Sabbath, (Adam kept no natural Sabbath days) consequently his offspring also, Abel, offering Him (i.e., offering to God) sacrifices, uncircumcised and inobservant of the Sabbath, was by Him commended; while He (God) accepted what he ( Abel) was offering in simplicity of heart, and reprobated the sacrifice of his brother Cain, who was not rightly dividing what he was offering.

Noah also, uncircumcised-yes, and inobservant of the Sabbath, God freed from the deluge. For Enoch, too, most righteous man, uncircumcised and inobservant of the Sabbath, He translated from this world; who did not first taste death, in order that, being a candidate for eternal life, he might by this time show us that we also may, without the burden of the law of Moses (see Hebrews 9:10 on this), please God. Melchisedec also, "the priest of the most high God," uncircumcised and inobservant of the Sabbath, was chosen to the priesthood of God. Lot, withal, the brother of Abraham, proves that it was for the merits of righteousness, without observance of the law, that he was freed from the conflagration of the Sodomites."

And again Tertullian says,

"It follows, accordingly, that, in so far as the abolition of carnal circumcision and of the old law is demonstrated as having been consummated at its specific times, so also the observance of the Sabbath is demonstrated to have been temporary.

For the Jews say, that from the beginning God sanctified the seventh day, by resting on it from all His works which He made; and that thence it was, likewise, that Moses said to the People: 'Remember the day of the Sabbaths, to sanctify it: every servile work ye shall not do therein, except what pertaineth unto life.'

Whence we (The Elect) understand that we still more ought to observe a Sabbath from all 'servile work' always, and not only every seventh day, but through all time. And through this arises the question for us, what Sabbath God willed us to keep? For the Scriptures point to a Sabbath eternal and a Sabbath temporal.

For Isaiah the prophet says, (the Spirit of Christ in Isaiah is speaking here, see 1Peter 1:10-11)'Your Sabbaths my soul hateth; ' (seekers, look what the spirit of Christ says here about believing and observing natural Sabbath days, like the carnal Jews did who would not hear the prophets.) and in another place he says, 'My Sabbaths ye have profaned.' Whence we discern that the temporal Sabbath is human, and the eternal Sabbath is accounted Divine; concerning which He predicts through Isaiah: 'And there shall be,' He says, 'month after month, and day after day, and Sabbath after Sabbath; and all flesh shall come to adore in Jerusalem, saith God; ' which we understand to have been fulfilled in the times of Christ, when 'all flesh' -that is, every nation- 'came to adore in Jerusalem' God the Father, through Jesus Christ His Son, as was predicted through the prophet: 'Behold, proselytes through me shall go unto Thee.'

Thus, therefore, before this temporal Sabbath, there was withal an eternal Sabbath foreshown and foretold; just as before the carnal circumcision there was withal a spiritual circumcision foreshown. In short, let them teach us, as we have already premised, that Adam observed the Sabbath; or that Abel, when offering to God a holy victim, pleased Him by a religious reverence for the Sabbath; or that Enoch, when translated, had been a keeper of the Sabbath; or that Noah the ark-builder observed, on account of the deluge, an immense Sabbath; or that Abraham, in observance of the Sabbath, offered Isaac his son; or that Melchisedec in his priesthood received the law of the Sabbath."
Tertullian

From these writings from the early Christian teacher, Tertullian, we see VERY CLEARLY, that The Sabbath of God is NOT what the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), say that it is.

Here we see that ALL the early righteous men, Abel, Noah, Enoch, Melchisedec etc, WERE NOT OBSERVANT of the Sabbath that the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), say to observe.

And Tertullian was not the only early Christian teacher to point these things out. For many early Christian teachers say the very same thing about the Sabbath.

JUSTIN MARTYR

For example, the early (A.D.110-165) Christian teacher, Justin Martyr, when admonishing Trypho (who declared himself a Hebrew of the circumcision), for thinking that the natural Sabbath day (which was IMPOSED on them because they made the idol calf in the desert, see Hebrews 9:10), was the eternal Sabbath day that God gave through Moses in scripture, said unto Trypho,

"The new law requires you to keep perpetual sabbath, and you, because you are idle for one day, suppose you are pious, not discerning why this has been commanded you: and if you eat unleavened bread, you say the will of God has been fulfilled. the Lord our God does not take pleasure in such observances: if there is any perjured person or a thief among you, let him cease to be so; if any adulterer, let him repent; then he has kept the sweet and true Sabbaths of God. If any one has impure hands, let him wash and be pure."

From this writing of the early Christian teacher, Justin Martyr, we see VERY CLEARLY, that The Sabbath of God is NOT what the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), say that it is. But it is a PERPETUAL SABBATH kept in Jesus, The immortal Word of God.

And again Justin Martyr says to Trypho,

"But you are a people hard-hearted and without understanding, both blind and lame, children in whom is no faith, as He Himself says, honouring Him only with your lips, far from Him in your hearts, teaching doctrines that are your own and not His. For, tell me, did God wish the priests to sin when they offer the sacrifices on the Sabbaths? Or those to sin, who are circumcised and do circumcise on the Sabbaths; since He commands that on the eighth day even though it happen to be a Sabbath those who are born shall be always circumcised? Or could not the infants be operated (circumcised) upon one day previous or one day subsequent to the Sabbath, if He knew that it is a sinful act upon the Sabbaths? Or why did He (God) not teach those who are called righteous and pleasing to Him, who lived before Moses and Abraham, (Abel, Noah, Enoch, etc.) who were not circumcised in their foreskin, and observed no Sabbaths to keep these institutions? "

From this writing of the early Christian teacher, Justin Martyr, we see again VERY CLEARLY, that The Sabbath of God is NOT what the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), say that it is. But it is a PERPETUAL SABBATH kept in Jesus, The immortal Word of God.

Here we see that they DID NOT understand the Spiritual meaning of the Sabbath Day. For Justin showed them that their natural carnal minded Sabbath day thought WAS WRONG! For even their priests had to circumcise male babies (do manual work) on the their so-called Sabbath day, because for some babies it fell on the eighth day after they were born into this world, and THEY HAD TO be circumcised on the eighth day after they were born.

It's like when the priests FOR SEVEN DAYS walked around the city of Jericho, showing by this that THEY DID NOT OBSERVE THE SEVENTH DAY OF REST (see Joshua 6:3-15).

And again Justin Martyr says to Trypho,

"For the law promulgated on Horeb is now old, and belongs to yourselves alone; but this (the new law that Justin is speaking about to Trypho) is for all universally. Now, law placed against law has abrogated that which is before it, and a covenant which comes after in like manner has put an end to the previous one; and an eternal and final law - namely, Christ - has been given to us, and the covenant is trustworthy, after which there shall be no law, no commandment, no ordinance. Have you not read this which Isaiah says: `Hearken unto Me, hearken unto Me, my people; and, ye kings, give ear unto Me: for a law shall go forth from Me, and My judgment shall be for a light to the nations. My righteousness approaches swiftly, and My salvation shall go forth, and nations shall trust in Mine arm?”

NOTE! As we know Isaiah 52:4-5, is speaking about the coming of Christ.

Here we see clearly that Christ IS THE NEW law. Christ IS THE NEW SABBATH DAY. And this Sabbath is not a certain day of the week. For Christ is not a certain day of the week.

It is only when one observes THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL SABBATH DAY OF God, that one can observe with gladness THE HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL EIGHTH DAY in which Jesus rose from the dead. This is THE TRUE Christian believer.

For what did our Holy Lord of heaven and earth say?

"Think not that I come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I AM NOT COME TO DESTROY, BUT TO FULFIL. For verily I say unto you, TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE SHALL IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED." Matt.5:17

And what does the scripture say?

"Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath..."

What does this show us?

The Lord saying that 'The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but one jot or tittle shall not pass from the law, shows us that ALL THE THINGS THAT OUR LORD CAUSED TO PASS AWAY, AND ALL THE THINGS THAT HE DID NOT KEEP, NEVER WERE IN REALITY, OF THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS!!!

Again, what did the TRUE LAW OF GOD SAY TO THE JEWS THROUGH THE PROPHETS?

"Hear the word of the LORD, ye rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, ye people of Gomorrah. To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith the LORD: I am full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this at your hand, to tread my courts? Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them. And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;" Isa.1:10-16

For indeed, in regard to THE TRUE HEAVENLY Christian believer, AND THE CERTAIN DAYS, AND NIGHTS, AND STARS, ETC. THAT HE LOOKS TO SEE;

The true heavenly Christian believer's "SUN" is Jesus. The true heavenly Christian believer's "MOON" is the heavenly congregation of wisdom above. The true heavenly Christian believer's "SIGNS and SEASONS" are the heavenly (Spiritual), precepts of God. The true heavenly Christian believer's "STARS" are Abraham-Isaac-Jacob-Moses-Isaiah-Jeremiah etc.

THE TRUE HEAVENLY Christian believer looks to find THE WORD OF TRUTH, and observe THE WORD OF TRUTH that he finds, in all THESE TRUE heavenly things ONLY.

But the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), will not hear THESE EARLY Christian TEACHERS, nor WILL THEY believe IN these things, EVEN THOUGH AS WE CAN SEE IT IS SHOWN VERY CLEARLY TO ALL.

BUT AS FOR THOSE WHO WILL NOT TURN TO BELIEVE THESE THINGS, IT IS BECAUSE THEY have NO FAITH WITHIN THEMSELVES TO BELIEVE THESE THINGS.

FOR There are two ways set before mankind: "Obedience and disobedience" to the law.

AND WHAT RULES OVER THESE TWO WAYS IS FAITH AND UNBELIEF-- see Matt.7:13-14.

THE CHURCH MEETINGS

Now someone might say,

By bringing forth these teachings of the early Christian teachers, it sounds like you are just trying to destroy the appointed times of the brethren meeting together to worship Christ, by bringing forth all these things. And that you do not believe in appointed times of meeting together. Nor do you want to meet together.

To this we would answer, NOT SO! For we know that it is good, VERY GOOD, to have appointed days to meet. In doing this, all can know the time and days to get together and plan for it. And we wish that the brethren would meet every hour of the day, and not just on appointed days, for we have heard the apostle Peter say to the brethren,

"But before all else, if indeed I need say it to you, come together frequently, if it were every hour, especially on the appointed days of meeting."

From this we see that not only should we set up appointed days and times to get together in a meeting, but also, if we can, meet every hour of every day. Indeed the Church has always cried out that the brethren should have all things in common, and that they should meet together every day and every hour if possible.

But now let us ask, HOW? How should the brethren meet? In what way should we meet? What METHOD of instruction should be used in our meetings?

CHURCH HISTORIAN EUSEBIUS

"The Church History of Eusebius" gives us this account of the fellowship meetings of the early Church as it was at the time of the apostles.

NOTE! When one looks at what is said here about these TRUE HEAVENLY CHRISTIAN SPIRITUAL FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS, it does not take long for one to see how wonderful and glorious CHRIST'S TRUE CHURCH FELLOWSHIP MEETINGS are to be, and how vain and totally empty of heavenly wisdom, are the false ceremonial Christian Church meetings of today.

"They bring nothing into it (i.e., the meeting) neither drink nor food, nor any of the other things which contribute to the necessities of the body, but only the law and the inspired oracles of the prophets, and hymns and such other things as AUGMENT AND MAKE PERFECT THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND PIETY."

And again speaking further about their meetings.

"The whole interval, from morning to evening, is for them a time of exercise. For they read the Holy Scriptures, and explain the philosophy of their fathers in an ALLEGORICAL MANNER, (please see Gal. 4:24) regarding the written words AS SYMBOLS OF HIDDEN TRUTH WHICH IS COMMUNICATED IN OBSCURE FIGURES. They have also writings of ancient men, who were the founders of their sect, and who left many monuments OF THE ALLEGORICAL METHOD. (please see Gal. 4:24)"

And again speaking further about their meetings.

"But some, in whom a great desire for knowledge dwells, forget to take food for three days; and some are so delighted and 'feast so luxuriously upon wisdom', (please see 1 Cor.2:6-7) which furnishes doctrines richly and without stint, that they abstain even twice as long as this, and are accustomed, after six days, scarcely to take necessary food".

And again speaking further about their meetings.

"They expound the Sacred Scriptures FIGURATIVELY BY MEANS OF ALLEGORIES. For the whole law seems to these men to resemble A LIVING ORGANISM, of which THE SPOKEN WORDS CONSTITUTE THE BODY, WHILE THE HIDDEN SENSE STORED UP WITHIN THE WORDS CONSTITUTES THE SOUL. This hidden meaning has first been particularly studied by the sect, which sees, revealed as in a mirror of names, the SURPASSING BEAUTIES OF THE THOUGHTS."

PLEASE NOTE!

Because we are the TRUE HEAVENLY CHRISTIANS OF OUR HEAVENLY LORD AND HIS HEAVENLY CHURCH, this is the method of our fellowship, and worship. THIS IS OUR HOLY EUCHARIST.

For the flesh and blood of Christ, or shall we say; the flesh and blood of Wisdom (for Christ and Wisdom are the same), are the Words of Moses and the prophets (i.e., the law and the prophets), spoken with allegorical meaning IN THE LANGUAGE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT (see 1 Cor.2:5-13), which mankind must devour with care and digest by calling them to mind with the understanding, and win from them not temporal, but eternal life (see John 6:63).

Thus did Jeremiah eat when he received the words from the hand of Wisdom, and by eating he had life; thus did Ezekiel feel sweetness when he ate the roll of the words, and the bitterness of this present life was cast away.

Thus did the Holy saints one by one, once long ago, and again and again, by eating the flesh and drinking the blood of Wisdom, that is, by receiving in themselves the knowledge and revelation of it, live for ever, with a life that will never cease. For their God was our God. And our God, is God of the living, not of the dead (see Matt. 22:32).

Here we see that the whole purpose of the Church meeting should be to Spiritually understand the performance of the heavenly laws of heavenly wisdom.

And indeed, only in heavenly wisdom is the performance of her heavenly laws and the true knowledge of God's power found. As it is written,

"The knowledge of the commandments of the Lord is the doctrine of life: and they that do things that please Him shall receive the fruit of the tree of immortality. The fear (reverence, i.e., worship) of the Lord is all wisdom; and in all wisdom is the performance of the law, and the knowledge of His omnipotency (power)."
Ecclesiasticus 19:19-20

THE SABBATH REST (celebration)

In Hebrews 4:9-10, it is written,

“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his..”
Hebrews 4:9-10

Here we see that it is commanded that the people of Jesus, enter into rest, and that in this rest, they cease from their own works.

Now that “this rest (celebration)”, being spoken of here is the Seventh Day, it is written,

“For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day of this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from all His works.”
Hebrews 4:4

Here we see that “the rest” means the Sabbath Day rest.

Now in regard to those whom were in the wilderness with Moses, those to whom the commandments were given to keep the Sabbath Day, i.e. to enter into God’s rest, we see that they did NOT keep the Sabbath Day, i.e. they did not enter into God’s rest, for it is written,

“Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness? And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.”
Hebrews 3:8-19

And again,

“Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them (see John 6:63), not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all His works.

And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest. Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To-day, after so long a time; as it is said, To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from His own works, as God did from His. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief."
Hebrews 4:1-11

From these scriptures we see that those who were with Moses in the desert, had the gospel preached to them by Moses, and were commanded to keep the Sabbath Day, i.e., they were commanded to enter into God's Day of rest.

From these scriptures we see that they DID NOT ENTER INTO God's REST, because of unbelief.

From these scriptures we see that they DID NOT ENTER INTO God's SABBATH DAY.

NOTE! We must all understand, that there is a great difference between God's Sabbaths and their Sabbaths.

For if we look at Ezekiel 20:21-25, VERY CAREFULLY, we will see that because of the evil they did, they were given judgments, statutes, Sabbaths etc, which were not the life giving Judgments, Statutes, Sabbaths etc. of God.

For THE LIFE GIVING Sabbaths, Judgments etc., God calls "MY" Sabbaths, Judgments etc. Those that are not life giving He calls "Their" sabbaths etc.

And so we need to know, that when Christ speaks about the Sabbath, which Sabbath He is speaking about.

But let us ask, what is His rest?

Before we look into this rest, this Holy Sabbath Day of God, let us look so as to understand further, just what caused them NOT TO ENTER INTO HIS REST, this Holy Sabbath Day of God. In Hebrews 3:11 it is written,

“So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.”
Hebrews 3:11

Here we see that they did not enter God's rest, God's Holy Sabbath Day, because the wrath of God was upon them. Let us ask, what is this wrath?

In The Christian Sibyllines it is written,

“Then Israel in her intoxication shall NOT PERCEIVE, Nor yet, weighed down, shall she hear with delicate ears. But when THE WRATH of the Most High comes on the Hebrews in raging fury and TAKES AWAY FAITH from them, because they ill-used the heavenly Son of God…”

Here we see that the wrath of God comes upon those who ill-use THE WORD of God, i.e., God's only begotten Son. Here we see that the wrath of God comes upon mankind when “ HIS (God's) FAITH” is taken away from mankind.

But as we know, God is not guilty in this. For this does not happen, unless mankind first hardens his heart toward God. For as we all know, God is a Spirit, He is NOT CARNAL, HE DOES NOT HAVE CARNAL THOUGHTS ABOUT HIMSELF, NOR ABOUT HIS SON i.e., HIS WORD. But mankind is carnal in his heart, and mankind does have carnal thoughts about God and GOD'S WORD. And carnal thoughts MUST be taken away by God's Spirit. And God will do this for us “IF” we do not harden our mind against Him nor His law, i.e., His Son by not believing in His Sabbath. For the carnal mind is enmity against the Spiritual MIND of God, and against His heavenly Spiritual law, and it (our carnal mind) cannot submit to it, as it is written,

“For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.”
Romans 8:6-7

And again it is written,

“Wherefore (as the Holy Spirit saith, To-day if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To-day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.”
Hebrews 3:7-13

Here we see that it was the deceitfulness of sin that was in the carnal heart of those who came out of Egypt that caused God's wrath to come upon them. For sin is transgression of God's heavenly law (see 1John 3:4). And our carnal mind can only hold deceitful knowledge of God's heavenly law, for as we saw earlier, it cannot submit to it. And Moses did tell us all of this, for it is written that God Himself, said in The Book of Deuteronomy,

“ …and (God) said, I will turn my face from them, and will show what shall happen to them in the last days; for it is a perverse (the word perverse used here, means=froward, see Proverbs 2:12) generation, sons in whom IS NO FAITH.”

So here we see that they could not enter into God's rest, God's Holy Sabbath Day, because they had NO FAITH within themselves to believe in God's Spiritual law of faith (see Romans 3:27, 7:14). And as for the Jews long ago, so also for the Gentiles NOW! (see Romans 2:7-11).

But now we must answer the question that was asked, '--- what is this rest, this Sabbath (Seventh Day of God) rest'?

In Hebrews 4:10, it is written,

“For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His.”
Hebrews 4:10

Here we see that to enter the rest of God, i.e., to enter the Seventh Day that God rested in, IS TO ENTER HIS, i.e., God's REST. In Genesis 2:1-3, it is written,

“Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all His work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.”
Genesis 2:1-3

Here we see that God rested from His work that He had done. Let us ask, what is this work that God did concerning mankind?

This work IS MANKIND MADE IN God's IMAGE AND LIKENESS (see Gen. 1:27). THIS IS THE SABBATH REST OF God. And He is resting in it. Oh yes! God is still working that work, as it is written,

“But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.”
John 5:17

For as we know, it will be a true Sabbath rest complete, when God will be ALL IN ALL (see Col.3:11). But we must labor to enter into that true Sabbath NOW! We must labor to enter that work NOW! And be not as the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), who do not labor with God, to be in HIS REST.

To enter the image and likeness of God, this is the Sabbath rest for our soul. And how do we enter the image and likeness of God? By looking to new moons like the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), do? By looking to various days of the week like the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), do? NO!

Did not the apostle Peter say in the "Preaching of Peter",

"Worship NOT this God in THE MANNER OF THE GREEKS, NEITHER WORSHIP HIM IN THE MANNER OF THE JEWS; for they also, (i.e., the Jews) who think that they alone know God, do not understand, worshipping angels and archangels, the months and the moon. And when the moon does not shine, they do not celebrate the new moon or the feast of unleavened bread or the feast (of Tabernacles) or the great day (of atonement). Learn then, ye also, Holily and righteously what we deliver to you and keep it, worshipping God THROUGH CHRIST IN A NEW WAY.

For we have found in the scriptures, how the Lord says; 'Behold, I make with you a new covenant, not as I made with your fathers in Mount Horeb. A new one has he made with us. For what has reference to the Greeks and Jews IS OLD (see Eph. 4:22). But we are Christians, who as a third race worship Him in a NEW WAY."

Only by looking at, and receiving “THE IMMORTAL HEAVENLY SPIRITUAL WORD”, can we enter into God's image and likeness. For Jesus Is God's image and likeness (see Hebrews 1:3). Only by entering THE WORD of God, i.e., only by entering and putting on God's Son. Only by entering and putting on the flesh of God's Son, can our souls enter into God's Sabbath rest.

For it is written,

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matt. 11:28-30

Here we see that Jesus says that He, "only He", can give the Sabbath rest unto our soul. For our soul will find NO REST OUTSIDE OF HIM. It is only IN LEARNING OF HIM, i.e., it is only in receiving of His heavenly mind, though His heavenly doctrine of The Holy Spirit of His Father, that we find the Sabbath (Seventh Day rest of God). Jesus, the immortal Word of God, the fountain of the living water of eternal life. HE IS OUR SABBATH REST. That’s why Solomon wrote,

“Fill ye waters for yourselves from the living fountain, of Lord, for it is opened to you: And come all ye thirsty and take the draught; and rest by the fountain of Lord. For fair it is and pure and gives rest to the soul, Much more pleasant are its waters than honey;…”
Odes of Solomon 30:1-3

It is when our soul enters His heavenly baptismal fountain of His living water (i.e., our Masters life giving law, doctrine that is not of this world, see John 6:63), that our soul (in Gods Spirit of truth) starts to enter God's rest.

For God's Sabbath Day of God's rest, can only be observed in God's land, i.e., God's flesh (the new earth) which is in His Heavenly Kingdom, as it is written in the Book of Adam and Eve,

“Then came the Word of God to Adam, and said unto him:-- O Adam, as to what thou sayest, ‘Bring me into a land where there is rest,’ it is not another land than this, but it is the Kingdom of heaven where alone there is rest.”

To take Jesus yoke upon us, is to take His heavenly Spiritual doctrine (His bread) upon us, which is His flesh (see John 6:51). For His flesh is our Sabbath doctrine of eternal life in God's image and likeness, as it is written,

“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.”
John 6:51-58

For as we saw earlier, Jesus is the image and likeness of God. And the Father rests in this image of Himself. The Father rests in the Son, that’s why it is written in The Odes of Solomon,

“…He (God) was resting in His Son”

This is the Sabbath rest of God, resting in His Son “HIS WORD”. For there, i.e., in the flesh of The Word, one finds the chosen place of God. There in the flesh of THE WORD, one finds the eternal Sabbath rest of God. There in the flesh and bone of God's Word of heavenly wisdom, one finds the bread of eternal life. There in the flesh and bone of God's Word, one finds the garment of salvation.

For as for the law of light, the law that is a lamp unto us (see Proverbs 6:23), that law, that lamp, says to all of us who are in His flesh, “Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy”, for no one will find this Holy Commandment except in the flesh of Christ, i.e., heavenly Zion, as it is written,

“For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation. This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.”
Psalms 132:13-14

And Again,

“In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, “HE” will joy over thee with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:16-17

Now Christ’s love is His flesh, as it is written,

“ For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as The Lord the Church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.”
Ephesians 5:29-30

THIS IS HIS PLACE OF REST. AMEN. “HIS” SONGS OF ZION BURST OUT OF "HIS" FLESH. DO WE HEAR THEM?

Woe to the unlawful (i.e., those who are not of Christ's heavenly spiritual law of wisdom above), who will not confess this true heavenly Sabbath of God.
