THE LOST BAPTISM In regards to the lost Baptism of the church, it is written; ”To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then
answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be
baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded
them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry
certain days. ” GOD'S RIGHTEOUSNESS From these scriptures we see that all the prophets spoke of the one and only, holy baptism for the remission of sin. And they all were saying, that it would be given only to those who believed that the remission of sin would come to them through the Lord's Name. But, we must come to understand now, that there has been a great falling away as to the knowledge of this water baptism in THE LORD'S NAME. For when the apostle Peter was talking about water baptism in THE LORD'S NAME, in Acts 2:38, Peter was quoting from Joel chapter 2. Peter was referring to that water that is the FORMER AND LATTER RAIN, found in Joel 2:23, for it is written, "Be glad then, ye
children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you
the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the
rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month." Joel
2:23 "Come, and let us
return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath
smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the
third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. Then shall we
know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the
morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former
rain unto the earth (man
being the earth)." Hosea 6:1-3 "Know ye not, that
so many of us as were
For THE LORD is to be man's WISDOM, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND SANCTIFICATION, AND REDEMPTION. And all these things, are to be received in HIS NAME, see 1Cor.1:30. And in regards to His name it is written, ”Behold, the days
come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a
King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the
earth. In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and
this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. ”
Here we see that to be baptized into His name, is to be baptized into His righteousness. For His name is called “the Lord our righteousness”. And so from these scriptures, we see that the baptismal fountain must be of God’s righteousness, in order to have God’s name on it. And it is written, “But of him are ye
in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and
sanctification, and redemption:" From this we see that the baptismal water of God’s righteousness, that all the prophets spoke about, cannot possibly be outside of Christ, for He is God’s righteousness. For they all prophesied that righteousness was of the Lord only, and that the baptismal water of righteousness would only come to us from the Lord Jesus Christ who is in heaven. For He being the Word of the Lord, created the baptismal waters of righteousness. As it is written, ”Drop down, ye
heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the
earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring
up together; I the LORD have created it." And again, “ No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 54:17 And again, “But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.” Amos 5:24 Here we see that the
“For I am not ashamed of
the gospel of Christ: for it
is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew
first and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God
revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "the just shall live by
my faith". Christ Established A New Law Here we see that the carnal heretics and schismatics have never brought God’s baptismal righteousness to mankind. For apart from the true gospel of God’s righteousness, there is no remission of sins. Also, in regards to the one holy baptism (sacrifice, offering) of Christ and His church, it is written, ” Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one
offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof
the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the
Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write
them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where
remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.” Hebrews
10:5-18 WASHED IN HIS WORD OF TRUTH Here we see that the will of God the Father, is done only in the one Holy baptism (offering, sacrifice) of the body of Jesus Christ. Here we see also, that this is the only will of God the Father, by which we are sanctified (washed vs. 10). This is the only will of God and the only sanctification, by which we are taught by the power of God to abstain from the babylonish fornication of carnal heretics and schismatics, as it is written, "For this is the
will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from
fornication:” For the Lord Himself prayed that mankind would be sanctified in His Word of Truth, " Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”
And the Lord, the Word Himself, brought the Holy sanctified baptized flesh (body), that is full of grace and truth unto mankind , so that this might take place, as it is written, "And the Word was
made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of
the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” Here we see that the Lord did this, so that mankind might receive the baptismal sanctification of Truth, by entering His flesh (body) in baptism, and thus fulfill His prayer to the Father. And let us all in this most evil age, take great heed in regards to this prayer of the Lord. For we see that all the heretic and schismatic ministers are cast out of the kingdom of God, because they did not do the will of God the Father, i.e., in their works, they did not confess to the people that there is only one holy baptism for remission of sin, which is in the will of God the Father. They did not confess that the name of the Lord is only given through the one holy baptism of His righteousness. And so, not being in God’s will, nor being in His prayer of sanctification, they are cast out as it is written, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them,
I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the
rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that
house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that
heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a
foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:" Seeing these things to be so, if anyone has been involved with, or been believing, and/or teaching the carnal (sand) heretic and schismatic doctrines of baptism that are against the will of god the Father, and are against the prayer of Christ, let them repent with all their heart before the Lord. And let them come to be joined to the
Lord and His church, by entering, His holy will, His holy
righteousness, His holy baptism, So that the Lord will liken
them unto a wise man that built his house upon a rock. But we must
know, that this can never happen apart form His one holy baptism.
For He only is the baptismal rock, that the doctrine of
baptism must be built on. As it is written, CHRIST POURS FORTH LIVING WATER “Go forth of Babylon, thou that fleest from the Chaldeans: utter aloud a voice of joy, and let this be made known, proclaim it to the end of the earth; say ye, “The Lord hath delivered his servant Jacob. And if they shall thirst, he shall lead them through the desert; he shall bring forth water to them out of the rock: the rock shall be cloven, and the water shall flow forth , and my people shall drink. There is no joy, saith the Lord to the ungodly.” Isaiah 48:20-21 (Septuagint Bible).
But also, by the above scriptures in Isaiah 48:20-21, we see Oh heavenly soul, that in truth, there is no coming out of Babylon (i.e., wisdom below), there is no redemption OUT OF BABYLON for anyone, save in the baptismal waters of the Lord Jesus Christ, our Rock. "But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and
forthwith came there out blood and water.”
Also, let not any one of us think it strange that the one holy baptism of the Lord for the remission of sin, is spoken of (in Isaiah 48:20-21) as a drink, for the Lord Himself, and by His prophets always spoke saying that the baptismal fountain for the remission of sin was a cup, in which all who would thirst for it would be able to drink from it, and find His kingdom word, His kingdom covenant, His kingdom laws of everlasting life. As it is written, “For this is my
blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of
sins. But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the
vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom." And again, “Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.” Isaiah 55:1-3 And again, ”The beast of the
field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in
the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my
chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my
praise. But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou hast been weary
of me, O Israel. Thou hast not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt
offerings; neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not
caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. Thou
hast bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast thou filled me with
the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou hast made me to serve with thy sins,
thou hast wearied me with thine iniquities. I, even I, am he that blotteth
out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." And again, “Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen: Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:” Isaiah 44:1-3 And again, “ And the
Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let
him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life
freely.” Revelation 22:17
NEW COVENANT SPRINKLES
CLEAN WATER Here also, we see that only in the Lord’s one holy baptism for remission of our sins, are we allowed to receive His covenant (laws, statutes) of wisdom above. That is to say, that only in His baptism, are we allowed to receive understanding of His laws and walk in them, for He Himself will cause it to be so, as it is written, "But this shall be
the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days,
saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in
their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. And they
shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother,
saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them
unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD; for I will forgive their
iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.” And again, ” Then will I
sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your
filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. A new heart also
will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take
away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of
flesh. From these scriptures, we see that it is only God who can put his laws of wisdom in our hearts and cause us to walk in them. And here we also see that this cannot possibly happen to us apart from His one holy baptism for the remission of our sins. As said before, all the prophets knew this and bore witness to it, as again it is written, “Behold, thou
desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make
me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and
I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the
bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and
blot out all mine iniquities.”
NEW COVENANT IS GOD'S
LAW OF WISDOM Here we see that the prophet David cried out for the law (covenant) of God’s wisdom to be in his heart, knowing that it would come to him, only through God’s baptismal washing. For he cried out, “Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalms 51:2. For we must know that God has commanded, that all mankind keep and do His laws of wisdom and understanding, as it is written, “But ye that did cleave unto the LORD your God are alive every one of you this day. Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons' sons; Specially the day that thou stoodest before the LORD thy God in Horeb, when the LORD said unto me, Gather me the people together, and I will make them hear my words, that they may learn to fear me all the days that they shall live upon the earth, and that they may teach their children. And ye came near and stood under the mountain; and the
mountain burned with fire unto the midst of heaven, with darkness, clouds,
and thick darkness. And the LORD spake unto you out of the midst of the
fire: ye heard the voice of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard
a voice. And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to
perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone." Here we see that mankind is commanded to keep and do, (i.e., perform) His covenant, His ten commandments of heavenly wisdom and heavenly understanding. But from the baptismal scriptures just given, we see that no one can do this without first entering His baptismal fountain of wisdom and understanding. For the law of heavenly wisdom and understanding is a wellspring, a fountain of eternal life that has power to take us out of carnal wisdom below. As it is written, “Understanding is a wellspring of life unto him that hath it: but the instruction of fools is folly.” Proverbs 16:22 And again, “The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.” Proverbs 13:14 But it is not possible to receive the Word of the law of wisdom above, without receiving its baptismal waters, as it is written, “The words of a
man's mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing
brook.” And what do we say
now, about all these things? For from this treatise on the one holy baptism of Christ and His church, we see
that our ancestors long ago transgressed against the only baptism for remission of sins,
and so by doing this they led all there children, generation after
generation, into sin by teaching them to break holy covenant with the one
holy Lord; teaching them to fight against the only baptism;
the only covenant that could heal and save mankind. THE LORD, THE FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS As it is written, “O LORD, the hope of
Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me
shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the
fountain of living waters. Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me,
and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. Behold, they say unto me,
Where is the word of the LORD? let it come now. As for me, I have not
hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the
woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before
thee. Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.
Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let
them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of
evil, and destroy them with double destruction. Thus said the LORD unto me;
Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of
Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of
Jerusalem; And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of
Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by
these gates:
Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the
sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem; Neither carry forth
a burden out of your houses on the sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but
hallow ye the sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers. But they obeyed not,
neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not
hear, nor receive instruction.” |
