Mystery of Godliness
As we bring forth this treatise on the mystery of Godliness, it is our prayer that not only the mystery of Godliness would be revealed to the reader, but also the mystery of iniquity. So that having both mysteries revealed, the reader would turn away from the religious mystery of iniquity, and turn with all their heart to the mystery of Godliness, in order to be washed in it’s Holy fountain. In regard to the mystery of Godliness spoken of in the Bible, we see that this mystery of Godliness is Christ, as it is written, “…and without
controversy great is the mystery of Godliness: God was
manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached
unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory” And again, “ Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds” Colossian 4:3. And in scripture we are shown that the Lord Jesus Christ, is God the Word made flesh as it is written, “ In the beginning
was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God” And again, “ And
the Word was
made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of
the only begotten of the father,) full of grace and truth. John bare witness
of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after
me is preferred before me: for he was before me. And of his fulness have all
we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace
and truth came by Jesus Christ” Also, scripture tells us that this Word is the same always throughout all ages as it is written, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to-day, and for ever” Hebrews.13:8. In scripture we also see that this Word, this Lord Jesus Christ, is God’s wisdom- God’s righteousness- God’s sanctification and God’s redemption, as it is written, “But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption” 1Corinthians 1:30. From all these scriptures then, we see that there is a mystery of Godliness, and that this mystery is a Word of wisdom- a Word of righteousness- a Word of sanctification and a Word of redemption that has never changed throughout all ages, but has always been the same. Therefore, from Genesis all the way to the book of Revelation, there is a Word of wisdom, a Word of righteousness, a Word of sanctification and a Word of redemption, a Great Mystery of Godliness, set before mankind in scripture, that has always been there for mankind to take hold of. True, it is there in a mystery, but still it is there for mankind to get hold of and be saved by, “if” they seek after this mystery of Godliness the right way, i.e., if mankind seeks after only God’s Word of "His righteousness", as it is written, “ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” Matthew. 6:33.
SEEKING AFTER THIS MYSTERY OF GODLINESS
Now one might ask, 'why should someone seek after this mystery of Godliness'? We must seek after it in order to have our SOUL washed by it. For once we come to see that this Word of wisdom, this Word of righteousness, this Word of sanctification and this Word of redemption, comes to mankind as a baptismal fountain of water, then we will see that this same fountain of water has run throughout all ages from Genesis to Revelation, calling mankind to itself in the books of the Bible in order to wash mankind’s SOUL clean. As it is written, “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you” John 15:3. This is the incorruptible baptismal fountain of the Lord. The Word of the Lord, makes us clean, “if” we are in it, i.e., in it’s Spirit and in it's life-giving truth (John 6:63). In order to enter this Word of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption, we must first see that this saving Word of God, this bridegroom of the soul, is a law of faith. Once we see this, then we will be able to see that this same law has been running throughout all ages in every book of the Bible as a mystery of Godliness, with no change to itself. As it is written, “Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race” Psalms 19:5. And again, “I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart” Psalms 119:32. And again, “ He sendeth forth his commandment upon earth: his word runneth very swiftly” Psalms 147:15.
THE LAW OF REGENERATION
Also, once we start to see this unchangeable, everlasting, eternal heavenly spiritual law, we will be able to see the immeasurable long suffering of the Lord and His saints, who have been running this lawful race of incorruptibility throughout all ages, and have been lawfully calling out to mankind to hear and enter this race and be saved. For this law has the power to regenerate (give new birth to), its recipients. As it is written, “For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin” Romans 7:14. The word “spiritual”
used here means= "regenerate".
And the word regenerate, as we know means=
And as we know the Lord desires that mankind be born again spiritually. And so as said, it is because of this lawful race that the Lord and His saints suffer, because carnal mankind does not welcome the spiritual life giving law of faith, as it is written, “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be” Romans. 8:7. Let’s look at this scripture more closely, “…the carnal mind is enmity against God.” In what respect? In what manner? In working out one’s earthly, carnal day to day necessities of one’s flesh on this earth? NO! The scripture declares that man is carnal, and against God regarding the Law of God. Next this scripture teaches that the carnal, earthly mind cannot be subject to the Law of God. Now, what must one do? We must understand, we need a new mind! We need the mind of Christ. We need the eternal mind to understand the eternal law. For the law of the Spirit has always, throughout all ages, come to reprove mankind spiritually of sin, righteousness and judgment (i.e., the judgment of God’s divine heavenly spiritual law), as it is written, “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment” John16:8. And this law of reproof is a doctrine of life for the spiritual man, as it is written, “For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life” Proverbs 6:23. But as we saw earlier from scripture, the carnal religious heretics and schismatics of this world, do not welcome the spiritual law of God’s light. And for this they will be condemned in the last judgment, as it is written, “And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil” John 3: 19.
THE RUNNING OF INCORRUPTIBILITY
Let us look now to see the running of this incorruptibility of the spiritual law of God, which is the spiritual water of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption. In 1Peter 1:10-11, we see that the prophets of Christ, had the Spirit of Christ within themselves, as it is written, “Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you: Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow” 1Peter 1:10-11. Here we see that the prophets who had the spirit of Christ within themselves, were speaking of the baptismal suffering of Christ. Also, we see that they were speaking of the glory of His eternal priesthood. The eternal priesthood of Christ, IS NOT a priesthood after the law of any carnal commandment (as the carnal heretic and schismatic so-called Christian priests and pastors of this world would have us believe), but it is a priesthood according to spiritual life-giving commandments, according to the law of God’s Spirit, as it is written concerning Christ, “And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life” Hebrews 7:15-16.
ONE FOUNTAIN, ONE LAW, ONE DOCTRINE
This being the case then, we see that all the prophets of Christ would be speaking the same doctrine of this mystery of Godliness i.e., God’s law (and it’s baptismal water) of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption for salvation, as Christ and His apostles spoke. In short, we see that they would be preaching Christ. And indeed this is the case. For we know that the doctrine of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, all the prophets etc., is the doctrine of Christ. It is all one doctrine. It is all one fountain. For Peter showed us that they were preaching Christ, because they had the Spirit of Christ in them. Looking at more examples of this baptismal preaching of Christ through the prophets. In Isaiah. 42:1-25, we see that Isaiah through the Spirit of Christ that was in him, was saying that Christ would come to the isles (Gentiles Matt.12:17-21), as a law, and as a covenant. And that this law, would come as light (for the law is light Proverbs 6:63) to open the blind eyes. In Isaiah 42:21, Isaiah said that this was the law of righteousness that would be magnified. In Isaiah 42:24, Isaiah said that the robbers came because they were not obedient to this law of righteousness. And in Isaiah 30:9, Isaiah said again that the rebellious people, and lying children, would not hear the law. Indeed Moses said the same thing about this rebellious people, and called them the froward generation (Deuteronomy 32:20). For as we know Moses and all the prophets brought the same Word as Christ and the apostles. For Moses (by the law), preached the gospel (Hebrews 4:2). For Christ came preaching the law of Moses in it’s grace and truth for salvation of the soul, as it is written, “ And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. He saith unto him, which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” Matt.19:17-19. And again, “ Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not”. Matt. 23:1-3. From these scriptures, we see that the Lord said that man enters into eternal life through the law. Even the law that Moses gave to the people from the Lord. Because the book of Proverbs is the same spiritual Christian doctrine (2 Peter 2:22) as the law of Moses (1 Kings 2:1-4), we see that Solomon was speaking the same spiritual law of Moses, about the doctrine of frowardness of the antichrist man. As it is written, “To deliver thee from the way (doctrine) of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things” Proverbs 2:12. Which frowardness ( lack of faith Heb 11:1) is not seen by the religious carnal man. Because the religious carnal man does not see the law as he should. For as we know the law (doctrine) of Moses, is the spiritual new wine of the Gospel, that the apostles sowed. And the apostles said that this new wine law was written NO DOUBT for spiritual Christians only. For the apostle Paul after giving THE LAW OF MOSES, said “If we have sown unto you SPIRITUAL THINGS” (1 Cor. 9:7-11, 1Tim.5:17-18).
MERCY AND FAITH FOUND ONLY IN THE LAW
Indeed, after a person has been spiritually baptized into the spiritual law, his whole Christian effort from then on, should be to learn the law, which is the mercy and faith of God. For one finds God’s mercy and faith only in the law. As it is written, “ Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cumin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone” (Matt. 23:23). From this scripture we see that God’s judgment (Divine Law) His mercy and His faith, are found in the law. Indeed, when the law is one's delight, then the tender mercies of God come upon him (Psalms 119:77, Psalms 119:124). For it is the law of the Lord that saves the soul. As it is written, “ I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened (saved) me” Psalms 119:93. It is the keeping of the law of the Lord that rewards the soul in the end. The more law, the bigger the prize (Psalms 19:7-11). Those who desire this prize will seek with all their heart to be immersed into the spiritual law (Christ), the new song of Moses and the prophets. They will seek every chapter, every verse, to separate the blessing from the curse, Deut. 30:19. They will cry out as David did (Psalms 119:18). Not so that they can lift up themselves and say, oh I know this and I know that, but that in the end they may love God and His body (His Church) above all else. And by this law, this new song of Moses and the lamb, they will overcome all the evil of Satan. For our Savior himself, when he came and put on flesh, and walked among men, showed us that Satan himself, is only defeated, i.e. overcome, by the law. For in Luke 4:1-13, there is laid before us three great examples, that show us all, that when the prince of righteousness, life, and goodness, i.e. our Lord Jesus Christ, fought with the prince of unrighteousness, death, and evil, i.e. Satan; our Lord fought off Satan with no other doctrine, but the law of Moses, as it is written, “…and Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. ” Luke 4:4 and Deuteronomy 8:3 And again, “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve ” Luke 4:8, Deuteronomy 6:13 And again, “And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God ” Luke 4:12, Deuteronomy 6:16. From these scriptures we see that the laws of God that are found in the law of Moses, are the laws of the kingdom of God when they are spiritually understood as being eternal and heavenly.
CHRIST THE LAW, OVERCOMES SATAN
Seeing then, all these things to be scripturally (doctrinally) sound, someone might ask; “How can one get this law, this mystery of Godliness in order to walk in its lawful true doctrine, which is sound, without blemish, without spot, and undefiled? How can one be converted, and restored, in order to be able to run with the bridegroom, and His saints; in order to receive that which the apostles sought to establish, in order to receive that which overcomes Satan?” The answer is spiritual water (Word) baptism! Without the spiritual lawful water (Word) baptism, there is no saving law. As it is written, “That he might sanctify and cleanse it (i.e., the church) with the washing of water BY THE WORD (Christ).” Ephesians 5:26
CHRIST IS THE BAPTISM, CHRIST IS THE BAPTIZER
In Isaiah 24:1-5, we see the overwhelming destruction that came because they had forsaken the spiritual baptismal water of the law of righteousness- wisdom- sanctification and redemption. In Isaiah 1:10-27, we see that the baptismal washing (verse 16) that Isaiah the prophet of Christ is talking about is the baptismal water of redemption and righteousness (verse 27) found in Christ. Also, in verse 27, we see that it is by receiving this water of judgment (the word judgment being used here means =divine law ), that one is redeemed. From these scriptures we see that Isaiah, the prophet of the divine law of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption (which is needed for salvation i.e., THE WASHING OF THE SOUL), was not leading the people to a earthly (natural) water to wash the soul (which as we know no natural water can do), but we see that he was leading them to an everlasting spiritual water of salvation that could actually WASH THE SOUL of man. For Isaiah said, in the spirit of Christ; “Wash you make you clean; remove your iniquities from YOUR SOULS before mine eyes; cease from your iniquities ; learn to do well; diligently seek judgment (judgment = Divine law) deliver him that is suffering wrong, plead for the orphan and obtain justice for the widow.” (Septuagint Bible). From this scripture we see that Isaiah the prophet was speaking of spiritual water that could wash a spiritual soul. Indeed, Isaiah always spoke of the spiritual baptismal water of the law. For baptism in the name of the Lord is found in the spiritual law, for the spiritual law bears His name (The Word), as it is written, “And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the Word of the Lord from Jerusalem” Isaiah 2:3. Here we see that the law bears His name, for His name is The Word of God.
And the early church teachers (even though much of their baptismal writings may have been corrupted by the so-called roman empire), bore witness that the law of the spiritual baptismal bath of water and blood for the remission of sin was only to be found in The Word of God, Christ Jesus. For example;
JUSTIN MARTYR: Chapter XIII.-Isaiah Teaches that Sins are Forgiven Through Christ's Blood. "For Isaiah did not send you to a bath, there to wash away murder and other sins, which not even all the water of the sea were sufficient to purge; but, as might have been expected, this was that saving bath of the olden time which followed those who repented, and who no longer were purified by the blood of goats and of sheep, or by the ashes of an heifer, or by the offerings of fine flour, but by faith through the blood of Christ, and through His death, who died for this very reason, as Isaiah himself said, when he spake thus: `The Lord shall make bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations, and all the nations and the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of God. Depart ye, depart ye, depart ye, go ye out from thence, and touch no unclean thing; go ye out of the midst of her, be ye clean that bear the vessels of the Lord, for ye go not with haste. For the Lord shall go before you; and the Lord, the God of Israel, shall gather you together. Behold, my servant shall deal prudently; and He shall be exalted, and be greatly glorified. As many were astonished at Thee, so Thy form and Thy glory shall be marred more than men. So shall many nations be astonished at Him, and the kings shall shut their mouths; for that which had not been told them concerning Him shall they see, and that which they had not heard shall they consider. Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? We have announced Him as a child before Him, as a root in a dry ground. He hath no form or comeliness, and when we saw Him He had no form or beauty; but His form is dishonoured, and fails more than the sons of men. He is a man in affliction, and acquainted with bearing sickness, because His face has been turned away; He was despised, and we esteemed Him not. He bears our sins, and is distressed for us; and we esteemed Him to be in toil and in affliction, and in evil treatment. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. With His stripes we are healed. All we, like sheep, have gone astray. Every man has turned to his own way; and the Lord laid on Him our iniquities, and by reason of His oppression He opens not His mouth. He was brought as a sheep to the slaughter; and as a lamb before her shearer is dumb, so He openeth not His mouth. In His humiliation His judgment was taken away. And who shall declare His generation? For His life is taken from the earth. Here we see that the early church teacher Justin Martyr, said that Isaiah, in chapter 52, and 53, WAS NOT at all speaking about natural literal water in regards to baptism. No, here we see that Isaiah was calling mankind to the WATER AND THE BLOOD OF FAITH, WHICH IS FOUND ONLY IN CHRIST JESUS. For all the prophets spoke of the baptismal washing that only comes from the cross of Christ (1Peter 1:10-11). And again, CYPRIAN: EPISTLE #75 For IN THE SACRAMENT OF SALVATION the contagion of sins IS NOT in such wise washed away, as the filth of the skin and of the body is washed away in THE CARNAL AND ORDINARY WASHING, as that there should be need of saltpetre and other appliances also, and a BATH AND A BASIN WHEREWITH THIS VILE BODY MUST BE WASHED AND PURIFIED. OTHERWISE ( i.e. in a different way) is the breast of the believer washed; OTHERWISE is the mind of man purified by the merit of faith. In the sacraments of salvation, when necessity compels, and God bestows His mercy, the divine methods confer the whole benefit on believers; nor ought it to trouble any one that sick people seem to be sprinkled or affused, when they obtain the Lord's grace, when Holy Scripture speaks by the mouth of the prophet Ezekiel, and says, "Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you." Ezekiel 36:25-26 Here we see that the early church teacher Cyprian, showed very clearly that the baptismal water that man must go into for the remission of sins, IS NOT of any natural water that is to be found on this earth. But is the spiritual water of salvation that is found only in Christ (the Word of God). Here we see that the earthly pastors have lied to their flocks in regard to the sacrament of water baptism for the remission of sin.
SACRAMENT OF SALVATION
For let’s look at this great epistle of Cyprian very closely. First we see that he calls water baptism, THE SACRAMENT OF SALVATION. Showing us that there is no salvation without water baptism. Next we see that he refers to CARNAL WASHING, as being baptized in natural earthly water where one needs a basin or a bath of natural water in order to wash ones natural body, which the traditional heretic systems teach the people to have a false hope in, teaching the people that the earthly washing is a cleansing of their souls (inner man) from sin, when actually they wash only the natural dirt from off their natural bodies. This is not and cannot be done as an act of faith, because faith acts rightfully in obeying the heavenly, divine Word (doctrine). Carnal, earthly laws and doctrine when obeyed are not of faith. Types and shadows are not Truth. If they were there would have been no need for Christ's coming. For Hebrews 11:1 teaches us, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” But let us notice that Cyprian says that this which he and the other church teachers called CARNAL WASHING, is NOT THE WATER BAPTISM OF THE SACRAMENT OF THE LORD’S SALVATION. Now let us ask, if this carnal natural water baptism (which we see is done by all the earthly pastors) is not the baptism of the Lord’s sacrament of salvation, then just what is this natural water baptism? To find the answer, about this carnal water baptism, lets look at some more epistles in the Cyprian epistle collection, of the early church teachers. FIRMILIANUS: EPISTLE#74 “For it follows that they must be asked by us, when they defend heretics, whether their baptism is carnal or spiritual. For if it is carnal, they differ in no respect from the baptism of the Jews, which they use in such a manner that in it, as if in a common and vulgar laver, only external filth is washed away.” As we look at this part of the epistle # 74 of Firmilianus, we must see several things here. First, he calls (as all the true church teachers do) those who advocate or defend carnal water baptism, HERETICS. Second, he calls this natural carnal water baptism a common and VULGAR baptism. But let us ask, in whose eyes is this carnal water baptism VULGAR? In carnal man’s eyes? NO! But, in God’s eyes this earthly, carnal water baptism, in the name of the Lord, is vulgar. Why? In Matt. 28:19 it is written, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:” From this scripture we see that the Lord commanded His apostles to go teach all nations and baptize all nations, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. What is this baptism? How can this baptism be? Where is there a baptism that has the fulness of the Godhead in it? Where is there a baptism that has all these things within? For if the name of the Godhead is there, then the Trinity of the Godhead must be found there also! But the name of the Trinity is not found in a carnal earthly baptism, and cannot be! For Holy scripture says that there is only one baptism that has the Holy trinity in it. Holy spiritual scripture says that there is only one baptism that has the fulness of the Godhead in it. As it is written, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily” Colossian2:9. And again, For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell:” Colossians 1:19. And again, “To wit, that God was in Christ (the Word of God), reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation” 2 Cor.5:19. And again, “And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body, by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:” Eph.2:16. What is this enmity that has been slain? What is this enmity that was against us? In the beginning, Genesis 3:15, we see that an enmity came in between the false word or commandment, law, and the true commandment (God given Word & Law). Between the serpent’s mind and thought, and the woman’s (God’s) thought, law, commandment, which she had already been told by God to obey. A choice came, an enmity came, and rather than denying the serpent’s earthly commandment, the woman obeyed it. Her mind ate of the wrong thought, law, commandment. God’s law was to be eternal life unto her and the enemies law was to bring death; a dead thought, not life giving. In the new testament we read of this same enmity fighting against God’s true, spiritual, divine Word, “..the carnal
mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither
indeed can be.” Also, in James 4:4 it is written of this same enmity, “..know ye not
that the friendship (agreement) of the world (earthly doctrine)
is enmity
with God?” For the true scripture speaks not of an earthly life of this world, but speaks and teaches of a spiritual, divine, eternal realm and life. There is only one Word of divine truth (only one Lord Jesus Christ), which is Life eternal. Since the time when sin came, there has been only one enmity, which is death.
CHRIST ABOLISHED THE ENMITY
We must come to believe in and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ abolishing in His flesh the enmity that was against us. We must now believe in the eternal divine Word, law, commandment of God, which was given in the very beginning. A law of love. This law is, “Thou shall
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.” How else can one love God, except by believing in and obeying His Word, law, commandment, which is divine, heavenly, eternal? He has not called us to love this world’s word or law. A law is given by and accountable to a higher authority, and there is no higher law than the Law of God, the Lord Jesus Christ. For we must understand we are in a “fallen realm” here, and the Word, the Lord Jesus Christ, has been victorious over the enmity that was against us and has taken it’s power away. We must look up from where our salvation comes, and believe only in a RESURRECTED WORD OF GOD, the Lord Jesus Christ, seated at the right hand of God Almighty. Not a word of this world. For the resurrected Word regenerates us and makes us new creations. It is by saying the all Holy name of the trinity in an UNLAWFUL MANNER, over natural water, which as we know is a shadowy pretence of the spiritual water in the church. It is by doing this, that the carnal heretics and schismatics have done great sin to themselves and to all those who have participated in it. It is by saying that the One Holy saving name of the Trinity is
there, when it is not there; that all the systems of the heretics and
the schismatics have taken this
HOLY, HOLY, HOLY name
(Isaiah 6:3)
They of the nations have committed this great blasphemy against the Holy Trinity, and they are not in the one and only true church, nor of it. And they MUST REPENT NOW!!! In Colossians 2:17, it is written, “Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.” Colossians 2:17. From this scripture we see that in the church (the sanctified body) there can’t be any shadow or type of any Holy sacrament. From this scripture we see that the shadowy water baptisms of all the heretical and schismatic, carnal , earthly babylonish religious systems, are not in the body, the church, of Christ. And they never have been. And again, “ And let the peace (Rom 8:6) of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.” Colossians 3:15. From this scripture we see that the calling of the church, our mother, to all nations of peoples (see Proverbs 1:20-24, Revelation 22:17) with her stretched out hands on the baptismal cross of the Holy Trinity, is calling all mankind to one church (body) only, to come and receive the baptism and after that the Holy communion of life (see Ecclesiasticus 15:1-3). Therefore the
baptism that heretics and schismaticis do, is outside the church, and it is
false. It is a lie. Antichrist baptizes in the name of the Lord, unlawfully.
The faithless gives faith; the sinner bestows pardon of sins; the cursed of
God blesses; he who is carnally dead promises spiritual life;
Let’s look now at another example of this SPIRITUAL WATER BAPTISM OF THE LAW found in Isaiah. As we saw in Isaiah 1:10-27, it is not possible for anyone to understand the life giving law of wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption of the only begotten immortal word of everlasting life, without first, entering His (Christ’s) baptismal water. But once entering His baptismal water, our carnal dead understanding of the law is healed. But, as we saw from Isaiah, only this baptismal fountain can heal (restore) us. This is the healing baptismal fountain that Philip led the eunuch into in scripture. For in scripture, water is a SCRIPTURAL SYMBOL of the WORD (LAW) OF GOD when it is used for cleansing. Philip and the eunuch went down by FAITH (Hebrews 11:1) into the SCRIPTURAL WATER, for Philip said to him "If thou believest." For they came (in scripture) to the place where the baptismal waters of the Word, the law, was mentioned figuratively as the waters of Noah which shows the baptismal cross of Christ ( Isaiah 54:9). For it is written in 1 Peter 3:20-21, that the ark, the waters, and the faith of Noah, represent the baptismal cross of Christ, with it’s water - faith - and wood. And reading further on, we see that Philip and the eunuch went down into the baptismal water of God’s spiritual everlasting covenant of wisdom and understanding; healing the eunuch’s lack of understanding (see Acts 8:30-31) of the immortal word (covenant) of everlasting life. For God's
everlasting law (covenant), is an everlasting
BAPTISMAL FOUNTAIN of
wisdom and understanding (see Deut.4:6), that lets one depart from the snare
of the carnal mind of death, that is at enmity against God and His spiritual
law of life And so, when this great eunuch from Ethiopia, stretched out his hands BY FAITH, and joined himself to the one baptism of Christ and His church, (found in the waters of Isaiah the prophet) and went back to Ethiopia to tell all in Ethiopia about this one baptism, then that which was prophesied about Ethiopia long before, was fulfilled, as it is written, “Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God” Psalms 68:31. For the eunuch who looked to Philip for help in understanding the things spoken about the man (i.e., His suffering and HIS SPRINKLING, HIS WASHING etc,) whom he was reading about in Isaiah 52:13, found the waters of enlightenment in Isaiah 55:8-11, the eunuch received the cleansing of his soul. Now this light of the Word of Life was opened up and poured forth for the cleansing of the eunuch’s sinful fallen thought, because he came seeking Truth alone. When one comes seeking the Word of God to fit and agree with ones own preconceived earthly doctrine, law, and religion, the truth is not able to make and will not make its abode there. One must come, setting aside all earthly doctrines, laws and religions and desire to love God’s Word, the Lord Jesus Christ with all of one’s heart, mind and soul; truly believing in its cleansing, regenerative power of eternal Life. Let us then like this eunuch have faith, and turn away from THE MYSTERY OF INIQUITY, and come with all our heart to THE MYSTERY OF GODLINESS, in order to be washed in God’s spiritual life-giving law of His wisdom, righteousness, sanctification and redemption.
