Note! The original intent was to have this page as an addition to The Seventh Council A.D.258, in order to further prove that The Seventh Council, was one of the most, if not the most, important council on THE TRUE KNOWLEDGE of The Lord's baptism within the Christian Church, and therefore MUST BE SEEN AND UNDERSTOOD by all who would call themselves Christians today. 

 However, after the page was finished, we realized that it must be given a name as an article by itself, because of it's overwhelming enlightenment in reference to THE TRUE CHRISTIAN WATER BAPTISM. So we have named it "TRUE WATER BAPTISM".

In regards to The Seventh Council of Carthage, and Bishop Cyprian and the rest of the Bishops who were fighting against Bishop Stephen and the rest of the fallen brethren at Rome around A.D.258, one of the most significant epistles to Cyprian in dealing with the truth of the whole Christian baptismal sacrament as Cyprian points out, along with all the Churches in Africa, is the epistle of Bishop Firmilianus Bishop of Caesarea of Cappadocia, (who was a disciple of Origen), with a confirmation of all the Bishops and Churches at Cilicia and Cappadocia and Galatia to Cyprian. It is epistle number 74 in the Cyprian epistle collection.

We will take sections of it, and bring it forth at this time. It is very, very enlightening. However! As always, in the end it is up to the seeker to believe these many trophies that speak of the true water baptism of the true heavenly Church, or not believe them.

But let us say right here and now, that it would be foolish for any seeker, to see these many, many testimonies to the true water baptism of the church and not email us to get more information on this, in order to try to come to an understanding of all these things, before making such an important decision.

But let us notice that he says, the blessed Apostle Paul baptized anew with a spiritual baptism those who had already been baptized by John before the Holy Spirit had been sent by the Lord, and so laid hands on them that they might receive the Holy Ghost.

Here we see that this water baptism that is done in the name of the Lord, is a SPIRITUAL WATER BAPTISM! Here we see that this baptism MUST BE SPIRITUAL!

Let us ask, what does this mean? Is there a difference between a SPIRITUAL BAPTISM AND A CARNAL BAPTISM?

Let us ask, what is a SPIRITUAL BAPTISM? What is a CARNAL BAPTISM? To find the answer, lets go more into this epistle of Firmilianus to Cyprian. For Firmilianus writes,

For it follows that they must be asked by us, when they defend heretics, whether their baptism is carnal or spiritual. (1) For if it is carnal, they differ in no respect from the baptism of the Jews, which they use in such a manner that in it, as if in a common and vulgar laver, only external filth is washed away. (2) But if it is spiritual, how can baptism be spiritual among those among whom there is no Holy Spirit? And thus the water wherewith they are washed is to them only a carnal washing, not a sacrament of baptism.

Here we see (1), that CARNAL BAPTISM is like the natural water baptism that the Jews did. A natural water baptism that washes away only dirt from the natural fleshly body of the person. For we read, For if it is carnal, they differ in no respect from the baptism of the Jews, which they use in such a manner that in it, as if in a common and vulgar laver, only external filth is washed away.

Here we see THAT FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE TO BE CHRISTIANS, this CARNAL type of water baptism IS NOT TO BE DONE! Here we see that TRUE HEAVENLY  CHRISTIANS will call this kind of water baptism  COMMON AND VULGAR!

As we look at this part of the epistle # 74 of Firmilianus, we see that he says that those who advocate or defend carnal water baptism, are those who are advocating and defending the baptism of HERETICS.

Also we did see that he called this natural carnal water baptism a common and VULGAR baptism. But let us ask, in whose eyes is this carnal water baptism VULGAR? In man’s carnal eyes? NO! But, in God’s Spiritual eyes this earthly, carnal water baptism, in the name of the Lord, is vulgar. Why? Let us now find out.

In Matt. 28:19 it is written,

But wait! How can this be?

What is this baptism?

How can this baptism be?

For where is there a baptism that has the fulness of the Godhead in it?

Where is there a baptism that has the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost within?

For if the name of the Godhead is there, then surely the PRESENCE the FULNESS of the Godhead must be found there also!

As it is written,

And again,

So here we do see in (2), THAT FOR ALL THOSE WHO ARE TO BE TRUE  HEAVENLY CHRISTIANS, carnal water baptism in a tank of water, or a lake, or any earthly water, is not the sacrament of the Lord's baptism, because the fulness of the Godhead is not there.

In (5),we see that it says, when Holy Scripture speaks by the mouth of the prophet Ezekiel, and says,(5)"Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness and from all your idols will I cleanse you. And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit will I put within you. Notice it says, when Holy Scripture speaks by the mouth of the prophet Ezekiel. Let us ask, how does THE HOLY SPIRIT SPEAK? By COMPARING spiritual things with spiritual 1Cor. 2:13.

But let us look what scripture says about this water baptism, Then will “I” sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: Who is the “I” here if it is not the Lord? Amen! THE LORD BRINGS THE BAPTISMAL WATER! In fact HE comes as water (see Hosea 6:3, 1 John 5:6).
