 UNDERSTANDING PRAYER

The heretic and schismatic religious systems have covered the whole world with their FALSE DOCTRINES, about how one should act at the beginning of their inquiries; about how to attain to SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE GOSPEL, AND ENTER INTO ETERNAL LIFE. For as we know, most of the heretics and schismatics say at the beginning of their false doctrines,  "REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED".

Repentance? Of What? How?

But we must ask, how should one repent? What should one repent of? As to the first question, how should one repent? Someone might say, oh that’s easy, you just pray. To this we must ask the question, but how does one know how to pray? how does one know what to pray about? For even the disciples who were with the Lord ALL THE TIME, and had heard His heavenly doctrine ALL THE TIME, had to ask Him, “Lord teach us to pray”.  For it is written,

“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” Luke 11:1

Here we see that even prayer had to be taught to the disciples of the Lord, and they were with Him everyday. Seeing these things then, we must ask, how much does prayer need to be taught to one who is just beginning to come to the Word of ETERNAL LIFE?

Knowledge of Eternal Things

Let us now look into this prayer that the disciples of the Lord asked Him about, and let us look into the answer that the Lord gave them. For after doing this, we will see what things (doctrine) are necessary for the beginner to study. Also, after doing this we will see very clearly that the heretic and schismatic religious systems have NO KNOWLEDGE WHATSOEVER in regards to what is necessary to teach at the beginning of learning how to enter ETERNAL LIFE.

Looking at Luke 11:1-4, we see that it is written,

“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.” Luke 11:1-4

We find the Lord teaching the same prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, for it is written,

“Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.”
Matthew 6:9-13

How to Pray

Let us look now into these two examples very closely, to find the meaning of how to pray, in order to help us to obtain the things that make for finding ETERNAL LIFE FROM God.

In Luke 11:1, we see that the disciples of the lord, wanted the lord to teach them to pray as John the Baptist taught his disciples to pray. Let us ask, what was the ministry of John the Baptist? What did John the Baptist teach? For as we know, very, very great things were spoken (in the Spirit of ETERNAL LIFE Peter 1:11), about John the Baptist. For it is written,

“And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life. And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace. And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.”
 Luke 1:67-80

Prepare the Way of His Mercy

In Luke 1:76, we see that John the Baptist's ministry was to PREPARE THE WAY, so that the Lord’s coming (to all those who had the way prepared in them by receiving the teaching of John the Baptist), would SAVE them from their enemies, and from the hand (doctrine) of all who hated them, and would PERFORM IN THEM the mercy promised to their fathers, and to remember HIS HOLY COVENANT, even this oath which He swore to Abraham, that He would deliver them out of the hand (doctrine) of Satan. So that they would be in ETERNAL HOLINESS AND RIGHTEOUSNESS BEFORE THEIR CREATOR FOR ALL ETERNITY.
Luke1:71-75

And this would happen because they would have received that knowledge of Salvation, and the remission of their sins. Luke 1:77

So let us look now and be amazed at the ministry of John the Baptist. So that we may see how the true beginning way is prepared in order to enter ETERNAL LIFE.

In John 1:23, we see that when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to talk to John the Baptist, upon finding him, they asked him who he was, and John the Baptist said to them,

Make Straight the Way of THE LORD

“… I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as said the prophet Esaias.” John 1:23

From this scripture we know that John the Baptist's ministry was in the spirit of Isaiah, fulfilling that which was written in Isaiah chapter 40. Let us look now at Isaiah 40:3-9 to see the amazing ministry of John the Baptist, and to see how the TRUE BEGINNING WAY is to be prepared in order for one to enter ETERNAL LIFE.

In Isaiah 40:3-9 it is written,

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the Word of our God shall stand for ever. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God!”
Isaiah 40:3-9

Unite With the Eternal Knowledge

In these scriptures in Isaiah, we see several amazing things. But one of the most amazing things that we see in these scriptures, in relation to the Creator of mankind and mankind to his Creator, is that they have an incompatibility for UNION WITH EACH OTHER. For in Isaiah 40:8, we see that the Word of God, the very Word that mankind seeks to UNITE WITH in order to find wisdom-righteousness-sanctification-redemption-eternal life etc, STANDS (abides) FOREVER!

But in Isaiah 40:6-7,we see that ALL FLESH does NOT ABIDE FOREVER, but withereth and fadeth away. Here we see that mankind’s carnal flesh (which does not abide for ever), HAS NO COMPATIBILITY FOR UNION with the Word of God that STANDS FOREVER. In Isaiah 40:6-7 we see that ALL FLESH, and ALL THE GOODLINESS (the word goodliness being used here means piety) of it, withereth and fadeth away.

So here we see in Isaiah 40:3-9, that there can be NO COMPATIBILITY for eternal union between the Holy pious Word of God, and the carnal flesh of mankind. For THE WORD STANDS FOREVER, but the carnal flesh of mankind does not stand forever but withereth and fadeth away like a flower of the field.

The Immortal Word of Eternal Life

Let us ask, what is this great thing? For even today throughout the whole world, it is clear that mankind is still trying to unite his mortal flesh, to his Creator, with the Word (doctrine found in the Bible) of his Creator. Which Word as we know, IS IMMORTAL AND STANDS FOREVER.

True Repentance

And so, here we are amazed at the ministry of John the Baptist. For John the Baptist was teaching the people that if they would believe what Isaiah (and what John the Baptist) was preaching, that their carnal corruptible flesh could not unite with the Word of God, the Word of God’s piety, Holiness, the Word that stands forever, etc, if they would believe this, and repent of the evil doctrines that they were in (i.e., the carnal doctrines of the scribes and Pharisees that said that their mortal flesh could unite with the immortal Word of God), if they would repent of this, and enter his i.e., John’s Baptism as a sign of their TRUE REPENTANCE, then their hearts would be prepared to receive the Word (and its flesh), that stands forever.

And so, John the Baptist was preaching saying,

“The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert (the soul of mankind that is dry without the Word) a highway for our God.” Isaiah 40:3

The Spiritual understanding of Isaiah 40:3, in regard to the voice, is that the voice is the heavenly Word that walketh in the garden of Eden that mankind in his fallen state tries to hide from, i.e., keep away from (see Gen.3:8, John 3:20-21).

The Spiritual understanding of Isaiah 40:3, in regard to the way,  is that the way is the heavenly thoughts (doctrines) of the heavenly Word, Isaiah 55:8-9.

The Spiritual understanding of Isaiah 40:4, in regard to the valley that is low, is that the low valley, is the true brother of the lord. The one who has the Lord’s mind, the one who is exalted in God’s eyes, in the eyes of those who truly had their way prepared, (see James 1:9).

The Spiritual understanding of Isaiah 40:4, in regard to the mountains and the hills, is that the mountains and the hills are the carnal doctrines of the scribes and Pharisees, and such, that one looks up to before one enters the prepared way. But, after one enters the prepared way these carnal doctrines (i.e., these mountains and hills) are made low and removed before their eyes.

The Spiritual understanding of Isaiah 40:4, in regard to the crooked shall be made straight, is that the carnal crooked doctrines are made straight, that is to say, the letter, carnal commandments, that are crooked and kill (see 2 Corinthians 3:6), are taken away for the Spiritual commandments of eternal life (see John 6:63, Romans 7:14).

For one is then prepared to see the glory of the Lord, which is the eternal Word of Life and His Flesh, John 1:14.

Repentance of Carnal Ways Doctrine

And so, at the very beginning of one's enquiries about how to obtain eternal life, one must be willing to repent of ones own carnal ways (doctrines in scriptures) and lay down ones carnal thoughts (works), and come to Zion the congregation of the flesh of the Lord, Ephesians 5:30; to hear the good tidings, the heavenly gospel of the kingdom of the Word of God that stands forever. And come, repent, and meet with the heavenly congregation of Zion and pray with the heavenly congregation for God’s kingdom Word of eternal Life to come into your heart, so that God’s will would be done in you. Amen. Please do email us now, as we would like to hear from you about all these things.
